$1.80 here.. and that's for regular unleaded. I'm so glad my 7 doesn't have a turbo! No premium required.

In the US, prices are pretty high. But I know we've got it goo as I know over in Europe prices are insane and always have been, right?

Anyway, just today I paid 1.70 for the cheap 87 octane stuff. Mobil/Exxon of course. Nothing else goes in my car.

Prices in the US are high????????
I pay about $4.24 for a gallon of 95 (lowest available in Belgium, others are 98 and 99+) and you guys are making a fuss about $1.70 being expensive???
What would you expect, get it for free? The prices in the USA are more or less market value, where as overhere most of the price are pure taxes. You cannot get cheaper gas then in the USA, because you must keep in mind you guys earn slightly more then those people in Venezuela! OK, Kuwait maybe a bit cheaper, but I wouldn't really like to live there...
And, BTW, prices are on the rise in most European countries. We are talking about a predicted price of $10 per gallon in a few years. In Belgium there's a new law, saying fuel prices only rise from now on. NEVER go down. If the market price goes down, the state will keep the difference as an extra tax.

Yah, most of you guys got it better than I do. My daily driver? a 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis Wagon, with a gas chugging 351 V8. Enough power to pull a house off its foundation, but u can watch the guage go down while doing it.

Anywhere from $1.83 to $1.99 here for 87 octane. And to those of you in Europe, a lot of that is taxes for us too. And also, Oregon is a non-self-serve state, but there gas prices are exactly the same as ours for the most part, within pennies. So I'm not sure if I agree fully with the liability insurance comment, as it relates to final price.

Personally, I'm just glad that I live 5 miles from work. I can get there and back on about a gallon a day. It's all down hill on the way there, so that's cool to if I'm really low (god forbid that would ever happen). Unfortunately, I like going fast on the way home, back up the fun little twisty curvy hill, which sucks a LOT of fuel.

Here's the thing though, for some of us, we bought these cars for the fun of it. Fun comes with a lot of hidden prices. For others, we bought ours cause they were the only thing that we liked that was in our price range. Sometimes you get stung when you have to compromise. The bottom line is, if the gas prices combined with your milage is the one thing that turns you against your Rx-7, then get rid of the thing and go get a Geo. You can pick them up for roughly the same price range, they'll easily double your gas milage, and if you wreck it, your already in your coffin. Otherwise, suck it up, and deal.

Prices always go up, it's a fact of life. Wages never keep up, also a fact of life. People always bitch, but then eventually loose steam and deal, the ultimate fact of life, and the reason the economy has followed this pattern since the dawn of time.

If any of this makes any sense to anyone, congratulations, cause I'm tired, and babbling at this point.

Just my $0.02/Gallon,
Brian Heston

Here in Springfield, MO it's $1.599/gal. for 87octane. Self-serve. If I go to the neighboring towns, I can find it for $1.549/gal.

Today I paid 1.79 a gallon for regular, but it is about 10 cents cheaper or so at Costco. Doesn't seem to be going down.

I cruise my car all the time from willows to Reno, willows to Redding and such, and I just want to tell you guys not to stop off at Mineral (Heading towards susanville) or Butte Medows (Up about 40 miles from Chico, I bought gas in Mineral for $4.25 a gallon and in Butte Medows for $4.00, both 87 octane, its crazy what tiny towns with only one gas station for miles can charge, for premium it was almost $5 a gallon in both places, but normaly I pay about 2.50 a gallon of 87 octane here in willows, its a pinch on my wallet to say the least, I just stuck my Camaro in the garage until prices go down, as it need 91 octane, and it only gets like 5-10 miles to the gallon.... Thank god my rx7 get ok mpg or I would be broke

I also went to texas this summer, where my Girlfriends grandfather was mad about them raising the gas prices from 1.25 to 1.50 per gallon, I was so shocked at what the differants in price was, I took a picture
He was like "Damnit, they raised gas prices again, now its 1.50, how do they expect people to live like this" and I was like "Dude, we need to find a way to transport that stuff to california, I could make HUGE bucks off of it" its not fair, we need a californian to become president so we can get pampered.

I can only hope that it drops soon, Cali wants to put more taxes on gas, pretty soon your gonna have to take out loans just to fill up here.
