I'm going to be running Accel's E-coils when I go the direct fire route...right now, it's a pair of Jacob's chrome coils...good for a 400 rpm increase at idle just installing them. I got to tune the idle and carb for better mileage with them.

I've heard good things about them, as well. But, I do know if you switch just the coils and not install their MSD box, you will need a resistor from them as well. It's stated on their instructions of which part number to look for.
