What`s this ???
I recently bought an rx, and noticed there is one pipe sticking out with no hose on it.
Theres is also an empty pipe below the air cleaner, should these be connected as shown in the image ???
Could this be related to my problems with idle ?

The fitting on the air cleaner assembly usually has a tube going to the thermal reactor. From the looks of that pic you have a performance header so there's no purpose for that hose. I have no idea what hose should be on the intake tube. I don't have that. It doesn't go the way you have it drawn in the pic.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
I can't remember what it does, but I doubt that it's giving you idle problems.

its supposed to do that
plug it with a cap and see if it helps the idle if yes then there ya go. if you have a header and no cats anyway just remove all the emissions and put a block off plate there.

it's a tube that goes to the thermal reactor but you don't have one.
the "hole" in the cleaner-pan is to draw hot air from around the thermal reactor, in order to warm up sooner in the colder season. You can forget about both, but I think you might prefer to block the ACV in that case, and ditch the airpump.
