Angry WHA?! Cleaner my ***...

Geez... well, i bought a cheap carb cleaner from wal-mart and i used it accordingly, following the instructions on the can. that can of bs just made my car go so much friggin slower... my acceleration is terrible and my power has dropped dramatically! i floor it and it barely moves--i have a VERY hard time bringing the RPM over 4k in 2nd gear. even my idle dropped to around 500. and when i was test driving it, somehow the accelerator got stuck and i had to cut the ignition!
I dont know whats wrong... plus i just got my RB street port exhaust system and RB intake housing. What a way to go...

With lots o bad luck,

Did it stick open. I had that problem wiht mine it turned out to be a vaccum problem with the secondaries. So i changed mine over to mechanical on the secondaries no more problems since.

The back two barrels on the carb. What rpm did it stick at. They are vaccum operated and soemtimes the lines bind up or plug up. Some where on here it tells you how to make them mechanical (spring operated) that solves the problem. As for the carb after the cleaner i have no idea what to do. Those nicki carbs are way to sensitive.

well crap... can you tell me where those small tubes are? now i prob screwed my carb up... my RPM never got stuck... it's just hard to climb, my car has lost alot of power since i sprayed that **** into it, so the RPM rises extremely slowly--now i can freaking wrap presents or something inbetween shifts

just so that you know you are not alone on this one fullsmoke

i ran some intank carb cleaner, that was supposed to flush out the fuel lines as well. and yesterday my secondaries (i am also running the good old niki four barrol) got frozen open. not only did this cause my seven to die as i was pulling into a parking lot, but it also has not started up since.

mmm... i'm feeling your pain

but, isn't there an easy way to un-stick the secondaries? next time, i'm gonna just leave my engine dirty...

is there anyone that can tell me how to un-stick the secondaries?

Just work the secondary throttle linkage open by hand while spraying the linkages and everything with carb cleaner. Should do the trick.

when i checked my barrels in my carb with the engine on, the two smaller barrels are letting gas in (and moving when i press the pedal) while the larger 2 barrels are letting nothing in (but they are slightly tilted to let some air in) and NOT moving--the larger barrels' plates do not move when i rev the engine on my driveway... i pushed the larger barrels' plates and made sure they could move and they did... i dunno what to do...

no power

If I was you I would check the sparkplugs. Make sure they are clean or just replace them if they are old. It's possible that they fouled while you were cleaning the carb. I just had the L2 plug foul and the car still ran but had no power and would not go over 4000 RPM. Just an ideal

would it not go over 4000 or was it just hard to get it over 4000? cuz my car feels like it is having a real tough time getting over 4000...

Thanx for the idea!
