I have yet to hear a single real drawback to the LS1 swap. Sure, I hear "the rotary is the heart and soul of the RX-7", but that's a crock of **** as far as I'm concerned. Same or better mileage as a rotary, more power, an assload more torque, parts availability is NEVER a problem, and every mechanic in America knows how to work on a Chevy V-8. Throw in the fact that 80 mph in an FC is 1500 rpm in 6th gear on a T56, and you just can't lose.

the two nipples on the top of the carb(the side facing the hood) are where you connect your OMP lines, so you have nothing to worry about.

first off, you need to remove that hideous top base thats made for the RB filter set up....and send it to me

I don't know if I can do that... It seems to hold the wire for the linkage.

Other than that, I have no problem doing that, as I need to go with a turbo hat anyway.

Send me MULTIPLE pics of your set-up, because I have no ******* idea how to hook this thing up, and we'll see what we can work out for the filter.

Its really easy.

1. Unbolt and throw away all old carb ****.
2. Bolt new carb onto LIM.
3. Plug vaccum advance on dizzy. Hook up throttle cable. Plug in OMP lines. Have a beer.

I had Delloroto 48s on my stockport 12A. I dont know if the tune was off or what, but I think that the carb was too big for my motor. It just didnt pull the way I think it should have. And I got shitty mileage to boot. IMO you should have gotten a Mikuni. I forgot what it was about them, but they already are boost prepped. You might need bigger jets, but my buddys didnt, do Im not sure. I think that they already have the Nitrophyl floats.

But your car sounds like fun

Well, I didn't want a Mikuni, I wanted a Dellorto. And, the stockport 12A is very temporary. It's gonna be a SP 13B with a turbo this summer, so there ya have it.

Not that Im trying to argue with you or anything, just curios, but why Dellorto? Theyre almost identical to Webers, only parts and literature are a bitch to find on them, not to mention anyone who knows anyhing about them.

If your Dell was originally set up for the SE, it should not have mop nipples, since the SE has them screwed into the block. I have a Mikuni for for both the 12A and SE, the SE one has plugs where the mop nipples are on the 12A carb.
