weird noise

lol, both my 7's are doing the opposite. It makes noise until I engage the clutch pedal. Won't find out till sometime this week, but every says it's the "throw out bearings" (if thats how you spell it)

the throw out bearing makes noise when the clutch pedal is released. it will stop making noise when the clutch is depressed due to the stress it puts on the pressure plate. i'd be more concerned with pilot bearing failure at this point

Quote: trichome11 oops i had it backwards. when the pedal is pushed in the noise stops. how long is it driveable before fixing??
lol, didn't mean to steal your post trichome11, but seems were in the same boat (low on $'s), but both my 7's are doing that. The SA is worse off than my FC but here you have it, just get it done asap. The SA is actually making an additional sound during excelleration and cruise speed from that same area so that one's going in the shop first.
