weight my car today

well I finally weight my SA at work today was cind of dissapointed but theres more stuff that can be taken out as is it still has the head liner and all the tar is still in the car plus the A/C condencer is still in there other than that nothing but the drivers seat with half a tank of gas it was 2180lbs I goal is to get it under 2000 if all posible or close to it and plus the scale is not meant to weight such a small object eather its a 3 section truck scale so it weight 70000lbs+ daily.

Breaking the 2k lb mark takes some creativity. If you want to do some fabbing, the SA bumpers are heavier than the FBs. It's possible to make new sub-bumpers out of aluminum, you might be able to drop 50-75 lbs. Keep in mind that they won't be street legal and your insurance company could deny a claim for repairs if you have collision.

If the budget allows, the Mariah Mode 4 uses a piece of aluminum angle 1-1/2 X 1-1/2 X 3/16" as a sub-bumper mounted betweeen the bumper shocks and the air dam screws to that along with screws into the fender lip.

Couple the bumper mods, along with what you've listed, you will be close. Beyond that, you will need to gut the rest of the interior, door panels, dash, remove every little strand of uneeded wiring, sound deadening/undercoating. Then add a lightweight flywheel, seat, tires/wheels.

There are other oprions, but they rend to get extreme and you can end up with a track only car. When weighing, it should be done with a full tank of fuel to establish max weight of the car.

well I just wanted to see what it weight just for the hell of it I work with a guy that own a nissan shop and keep braging about the fact that his hatch weight 2650lbs with is wery respectable. I am planing on fabing up some flush head light kit for the car I think that will get rid of some more weight since the SA head light motors are quite heavy still need to take off the head shealds for the exhaust off other than the one next to the gas tank my car tends to spit random ***** of fire I am planing on putting a 5 lug conversion with T2 brakes and a ford 9" rear end into the car once the funds become awaylable but that far down the road I am also planing for a S5 T2 motor or if fund allow 13B-RE.
