FL weber tuning help on 12a stock port!!

just got my weber dcoe 45 installed on my 85 12a and was not impressed. i know that it still needs to be tuned but at least expected it to perform better that the nikki :/. i am new to webers and have been trying to see how i should tune mine. right now i know its running too rich bc its wasnt a **** load of gas. i wasted about 1/8 tank and only went 25 miles. and if im crusing under 2000rpm its somewhat smooth and crusing anywhere above 2k causes it to sputter, alot. and if im cuising at a higher rpm like 4k or 5k it sputters so muc it sounds like its on a limiter. and if im flooring it lower to midrange power is OK but high rpm is almost none. the carb has f-11 e tubes on it, thats about all i know so far. someone help

it is hot down there...play with the main jets 185 of 190....the best way to no if your engine is happy at all times.is to get a wideband........or just wing it

i got wat u said, low and mid rpm power is good but after about 4k it kinda dies off. wouldnt that mean i would have to get larger air corrector jets since they r wat calibrate fuel in the higher rpms? i have one extra 175 air corrector (my other one got bent :/) ill try to get other 175 air corrector and c how those work. how much do wide bands go for and where in the exhaust would u put it and how?

like 15 to 20 inches..... this w/b looks cool http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Tinte...uel-Gauge.aspx you may need to play with your fuel pressure and check the floats height......the search function is your friend...there is tons of info.....
