Weber IDA: Setting float level with plastic floats
I have the newer, made in Spain Weber IDA and need to set the float level. How do I do this?
Carb has the nice JayCee 3.3mm Grose Jet with glass ball, instead of needle and seat.
What fuel pressure?
Thanks

Hi, I just bought one too, but didn't open it yet.
I thought I need a 3.00mm needle valve to replace the original 2.00mm one.
Is this JayCee 3.3mm Grose Jet original?
I think I should open mine before ordering something that I don't need.
Concerning your request, I cannot help you, it's me first Weber. Sorry

Im using JC's glass needle/seats (grose jets) as well but with brass floats. No experience with plastic but its not hard to set it...it just takes time. The setting from weber aint gonna work on it since its longer than the standard needle/seat.
My motors run happy with close to 6psi of fuel pressure.

Thanks Mel, since the jaycee grose jet is taller i guess i'll just raise the float accordingly. Some peoples say to run a lower float and more fuel pressure with the grose jet though. Sounds like trial and error.
