Weber IDA Question
Well, just got my Weber back from the machinist and going to put it back together tonight. I know that if the cam shaft for the pump jets gets jacked its a really expensive fix. I was wondering what to lube it the shaft with? It came from the factory without lube. Just want to minimize the wear and tear it. I have some good old fashion grease. Looking for good grease/lube to use on it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just slightly lubricate it wtih clear grease (cant remember the brand) along wtih the springs. Did you enlarge the pump jet too??
BTW: With my recent project, I add more progression holes to a 48 IDA (making total 4 progression holes). It made it too rich. Up to bridgeport, 3 progression holes are good enough. I will also try 4 with my 13-B P-Port project

thanks guys, off to the parts store. carb looks really nice. got the 3 progression holes, broke the wall out the float bowl and enlarged the fuel inlet holes. only restriction there will be the 3.3 glass ball needle seat. Hopefully I will be swapping the old carb out this Sunday, supposed to be 50 hot degrees outside
