you most likely have a set of the dual 36 dcd's. and the intake says "rotary engineering" right? thats a good set up and is worth about $300. so hang on to it they make good power.

i guess its a matter of opinion realy. but i think the general thought is that most people like the dcoe. there is a big difference between the 2. the dcd is a small 2 barrels downdraft (if i am wrong on anything i say someone correct me, but i am pretty knowledgeable with the weber talk) but the down side is the dcd is somewhat small and i dont think that they are very adjustable as far as chokes venturies etc. but when you have that set up that he has on the old mannifold it has dual 36's and it was not a bad set up. now next is the dcoe is is a side draft which means that the carb layes on its side. they come in biggrt sizes like the 45mm and i belive 48 and even the 52 0r 55 cant remember how big they went, mazdaracing.com sells the dcoe's brand new on there. so you only use one carb when you use the dcoe set up. but i think they are more adjustable to sute different needs. they used to even use big dcoe's on pp motors and they worked allright. However personaly my favorite carb is the 48 ida. i use one of these on my 12a pp and it works realy pretty good. you can switch venturies in like 10 minutes and jet changes in less than a minute. overall a very easy carb to work with. but they are expensive(400 for a junker that needs a couple parts to over 800 for one that is freshly rebuilt with everything plus you need the manifold if you cant make your own). Any ways ya that is a small run down on the differences. there are many other differences i just pointed out the obvious basic ones.
