Wanting pictures with wheel adapters
Does anybody have any pictures of 7's using wheel adapters? I'm curious to see how far out the wheels stick while using an adapter. Thanks.

I ordered a set form the states, and they were like 2" thick, not a problem I thought as I have a set of JSS overfenders, but the quality of the 4~5 lug adapters was not that great, and they self mangled while being installed.
They were two piece units with allen cap screws bolting the two parts togethor and the threads stripped out while being assembled. I decided not to use them as a result.

I've just never seen (Or so I believe) a picture of a 7 using them.

Got mine here....

Very good quality and they werent too pricey either.....
The safety of using wheel adaptors/spacers depends on two things....
1st....The quality of the part.Is it made to tight tolerances and from good materials? Is it hubcentric? Are the lugs ARP brand or equivelant?
2nd....Are the wheels being used heavy offset or not?Combining high positive offset wheels with adaptors will greatly increase loads placed on the wheel bearings. In other words, dont run deepdish wheels with adaptors and especially dont do it on the earlier cars with small outer bearings.
I run very wide adaptors in the front, but my Advans are nearly all negative offset. In other words, the contact patch of the tire is still pretty much centered over the wheel hub and bearings. That way there no leverage advantage being placed on the bearings from having the wheel pushed WAY out in an effort to fill up my wide fenderwells. In the back,I just run small H&R spacers to get a little closer to the edge.My SE rearend does a decent job of pushing the 9" wide wheels out.The SE axle and brakes are a good 1" or so wider than the non-SE rearends.I drive everyday and road trip to LA and other far off places all the time.Ive logged almost 20K miles and had zero problems with any wheel, lug or bearing components.

That's where I was planning on getting them if I am going to get them.
Right on, thanks for the info.
