"The Beehive Oil Cooler"
My oil cooler's leakin' so the O-rings must be shot
Searching says it's 2 or 4 of them, that must be bought
If you separate the cooler from the mount, (book says NOT to)
Then you will need all 4 O-rings, instead of just the 2
Remove the banjo bolt, it's 23 metric by the way
And the bolt that holds the cooler to the engine in the bay
On the bottom of the filter pedestal, are 10 mm bolts
There are 2 of them, and "mm" stands for millimeter, you dolts!
The 83 to 85 has a steel oil cooler line
That goes from under the filter to the engine (take your time!)
If it gets bent, when you remove it, you'll be up the creek
'Cause it won't tolerate any bends, and it will surely leak
Use a 21 wrench (again it's metric) and thin to hold the fitting
It breaks and bends and cracks so easy, you'll do some beehive hitting!
But if you are successful, (lucky maybe), and get it all apart
Put some glue on your fingertip and touch the bolts, to get those "10's" to start
And don't forget the crush washers, on both sides of the banjo
If you reuse the old ones you will risk a "black honey" flow
I guess that's it, but so you know, that I am here to please
I "strongly" suggest, before you start, you drain the anti-freeze
Peace,
DD
