Wankel isn't the only thing they took from Germany.
I was just looking at pictures of the stock brakes in the manuals I have and the pictures on the forum... I hadn't realized up until now that the hub and rotor are one piece... It just never clicked...
When I did brakes on my RX-7, I jsut slapped pads on it and went. (No wonder it squeaked like a bitch.)
I only thought about this as I'm gonna order a set of four rotors soon, as the ones that are on it are probably rusted to hell by now, and I was thinking about how they were going to go on since there are no studs... Just bolts...
Ya know what the 1st gen brakes remind me of... Volkswagen brakes... Actually, a lotta German vehicles look like that, and they use the bolts instead of studs too...
At least stuff isn't held together with weird bolts where you need 12 point, 13.57 mm Sockets, and T - 64 1/3 Torx Bits...
