w00t!
I got my 1983 beater ON THE ROAD! WORKING!
it leaks oil (think from the OMP, hopefully can fix it today),
the starter makes a /really/ ghetto noise when I use it (I have a starter in a '80 with a 13b, and a starter in a '79 with a 12A, will either work?)
the clutch engages really high and is almost dead
it has the amazing FB wonder-steering
and the drivers door leaks so much air that there is a gale-force wind coming in when Idrive.
hopefully I'll have it all fixed today, aside fromt he clutch... any adjustment on the clutch or no?
anyways, it's a blast to drive, even if my grandpa's neon can out-accellerate it below 120km/h/
the car is a whole lot stiffer than I was expecting, I think I did the repairs right... stitch-welding the chassis probably helped too. And the tociko's and bigass swaybars
just thought I'd post, I'm happy!

Theres two adjust bolts on the pedal assembly, i had the same issue when i put in a new clutch this spring. it would engage as soon as i let the clutch come out even a 1/2 inch. you'll have to be flexable to reach up underneath or atleast not 280 lbs like myself lol. There is a good write-up on it the Haynes Manual.
Also, N/A starters from 83-91 were the same/interchangable. Sounds like you'll need to source one.
