I hope you get this thing done soon, I could use a new hood with vents for my T2 GSL-SE, keep the underhood temp down. I like it, nice large vents!

The stock hood isn't very heavy - a FG one with mounting hardware (using hinges & latch, instead of hood pins) isn't going to be much lighter than stock.

if only i would get off my *** and make one like i said
lol

yeah a fg hood with stock latches really is kinda pointless, i took the bracing out of my stocker and it weighs nothing

Its about 28 lbs. I meant stock style/looking from the outside, no vents.

Nice work, Manntis - look great!

I wonder why someone has hasn't produced a stock hood replacement? Between dent, dings, hail, etc - and the fact there's a 6 year volume of FB's - I'd think there would be a market for them...

The hood looks infinately better in person, trust me. The vents look great and are nicely proportioned in comparison with the rest of the hood. Manntis even went to far as to make sure that there were no sharp corners in the vents, but the same rounded edge that is found on the stock hoods. These things are going to look VERY nice in the final product.

Forgive me for asking a question that's probably been asked a thousand times, but what are the prices gonna be for the final product?

Actually you can get aftermarket stock replacements from any number of places, including victoria british. Someone in NY is making FG vented hoods and selling them on ebay for like $260 + shipping. It actually looks like a good product btw. I would be interested in a vented hood with a CF skin.

I was at VB yesterday, and they don't sell FB stock replacement hoods.

I don't think there is anyone.

Manntis - when do you think these will be ready for sale?
