Velocity Stack length?

well, right now, my dellorto has what i think are 2.5" stacks on it...

is there any benefit to going longer or shorter? I see a lot of aircooleds running around with 6" stacks and things like that, just wondering.

You can use velocity stacks to tune you engine for a certain power band. The longer the stack the lower in the rpm range the powerband is. The shorter the stack the higher. Every engine is different and has different requirements. Try different lengths and see which one works best for you.

Well you're sort of limited with where the manifold is, and where the oil filler pedestal is. How would you have any longer stacks without hitting the oil filler pedestal?
