Vacuum advance without rats nest

I'm curious to know what ya'll have been doing after removing the solenoids. I ran a vacuum line with a "t" in it and reconnected the diaphragms. Is there any reason to do it differently?

I don't use vacuum advance. It's like 7UP (never had it, never will).
