The piece with the tabs on it goes across the battery, And the other long piece hooks into the hole and the threaded part comes up through the first piece and a wingnut holds it on.

The first hole at the bottom is where the long threaded piece hooks into. The top piece hooks into the hole that you have the threaded part hooked.

In the fifth pic, Instead of the tabed piece, the threaded piece goes there. There should be a hole somewhere near the middle that the curved part of the threaded piece goes. Then lay the second piece over the middle of the battery and put the loop over the threaded rod. Make sure to hook the top piece in the rusted hole FIRST and then put the wing nut on and tighten.

The black part goes on TOP of the battery, right in the middle. The loop part goes towards the fender. The little point on the opposite side of the loop goes in the hole near the radiator...

The "J" hook goes down the side of the battery near the fender. The hook part goes to the tray under the battery. The threaded part goes through the loop on the black part. Put the nut and washer on top to lock the battery down.

I'm not laughing because it's not funny.

If it was a joke, it was terrible.
If it was true, it was ******* sad.
