Update: FB 2 FD (frontend)

Amazing and quite a tease. That's an excellent cure for the ancient FB steering and suspension. Do you have any pics with the fenders and hood off? Is it the entire FD front clip or a custom subframe? Where did you mount the longitudinal members?

to answer all questions:
1. yes, its a first gen.
2. yes, the entire front end is fiberglass.
3. no, i did not use any of the FD's suspension. only thing used are FD body components.
4. yes, its lighter than an FD (only 1950 pounds!)
5. yes, its hard to do. lots of cutting, welding, modifying, fiberglassing, bondoing, etc...
6. no, i dont recommend doing this to yours (unless you have very deep pockets)
7. yes, im going to be at HIN Los Angeles.
8. yes, im getting a 300hp 13bt in the bay for power.
9. no, i will not race this car. just cruise in it and only open it up for highway passing.
10. yes, i want to get my money back by winning in car shows under the "conversions" category.
and why did i do such a thing? because I CAN !!

WOW. I really applaud the work you have put in there. I love to see custom projects like that. A guy in our town is putting late 90's Mustang front clips on 67-68 Mustangs. Lots of work, but man does it turn heads!!!!
