sounds good to me. I'm probably gonna pick up a dual belt alternator pully soon

there's a set on ebay once in awhile, and i think they claim 15 hp.

yeah, that's the one on ebay

10-15 hp sounds pretty good, but it's not all that cheap

Beware of twin pulleys they cause squealing as you never have two equally tight belts.

15hp gain is bullshit. take out your airpump and ac and you might gain a couple hp.

only a couple, i'd say

yeah, actually, idk how reliable/ accurate Mazda Racing is- "If your like 90% of the Rotary world and run your engine at 8500 rpm and higher, you NEED this system." LOL!!

haha 15hp? out of an engine that makes just over 100hp stock? no way. the only possible way they could claim that much would be on a massive turbo/high boost setup (cause your N/A power is basically multiplied with boost, so a few horses gain N/A would multiply with boost)

the thing that would really improve with underdrive/lightweight pulleys is response, since the engine will rev more freely. same thing when you remove the air pump.

so i would say its not really a bad upgrade, but i think that 15hp is an unrealistic claim.

There are a lot of parts out there that aren't worth much, you'd be better off looking at removal of unnecessary parts as previously said, this also costs less.

Under drive pulleys arnt exactly made to make power. They were first made to underdrive the water pump so at higher revs it wouldnt cause cavitation(im pretty sure that is the correct term) in the cooling system. It also slows your Alt speed so if you dont run at high enough revs it will cause a slight discharge in you battery.

Now Erik if your looking for quick cheap power for when we race down at Kanawha Valley. I may be able to sell you my carb and Racing beat intake for the cheap. Just get that pump I was talking about and youll be good to go. Or you should get a header. If your worried about emissions in this state they just do a visual. If its all there then they slap on a sticker. And if they cat do it at your house ill get the sticker from the garage.

BTW you still aint gonna touch my GTU, but hey remember its all still bracket racing you may still win.

man im glad someone else said it first

That **** doesnt give HP

it is reciprocating mass.
if you lighten it then less work is require to turn it!
just like a flywheel or a lighter set of wheels and tires.
