unbelieveable, nobody wants a 12at for the price of shipping it WTF

In my opinion it isn't a huge deal, because none of the rotary motors are terribly expensive to replace in comparison to other motors. But at the same time, just because it's cheaper than others, 400 bux is 400 bux...

I think if you guys are like me, then we all know how us RX-7 guys get really excited about buying a new RX-7s or some upgrade and start PM'ing someone on what they are selling. But actually coming up with the money after excitement wears off is harder to do! I tend to revaluate my financial priorities and realize that I don't NEED what is being sold, it would just be nice. Windows shopping is fun, actually buying is another. I think that is the sentiment Kenn is sharing... too bad.

Why would you post this? It is like rubbing a missed opportunity in all the people you didn't pm faces. sounds like you just want to start problems, sorry the people you pm'ed didn't want it but obviously someone did.. I am working on a putting a 12at together also And i didn't get no pm.. but if i would have seen the post i would have had to take a nuber to get this.. next time you want to give something away, let me know, i have plenty of space for good used parts for cheap. especially a jdm 12at. like you said earlier it's water under the bridge so why get mad at all us yanks, when you only offered it to a few..

^^ My point exactly, You PM'd a bunch of people who claimed to have been interested in 12At projects, It is kinda an ASsholie thing to do to post it up AFTER you trashed it... That would be like me posting up an add about how I just crushed a 1983 Limited Edition with 20K original miles because I asked a few people if they wanted it and they said no..... You should have posted it, if no-one came through then throw it out. But don't come on here posting how you just trashed a treasure when MOST of us knew nothing about it.... I know everyone and thier mother would post on here OH I would have bought it..blah blah, but someone would have if it had been made public.

Although most of us 1st gen-ers are....fiscally minded, wouldn't it have been at least worth a try to put up an ad in the FS section? I mean I don't think a whole lot of us on the board would pass up something like "FS: Complete 12AT setup, MUST GET RID OF NOW, SELLING FOR PRICE OF SHIPPING" Just my 1.725 cents.

trash can man without a 12at!lol
What a tosser, throwing away a running rotor, sell your bed if you need space or advertise properly. in aus a 12at goes for 2k if its a runner, may your chev turn into a honda so you can reflect on your bad deeds when walking home.(because honda is for homo's-spoon?)

And that is exactly the point Richard, I am rubbing salt in a wound because many of the members here will talk smack about buying or selling. when I buy or sell something I rarely require more than one ~two days to deal with it, only (as in Ramis case shipping an entire engine took acouple of months) but normally when i buy something it is paid for the same day, no excuses, if i sell or give away something it has to be the same. Many of the members on the forum are"fiscally minded" but there is a difference between fiscally minded and jerking somebody around.
2 of the members I Pm'd answered me quickly with a "sorry I can not afford it at this time", those fast quick no BS answers were greatly appreciated, the other ones can f@%k off! and for the rest of you who are whining, (not everyone who posted here) I have seen several of you posting back and forth in the for sale section with the end result being you simply wasted the sellers time.
as stated before, very limited time, loss of parking space = loss of car,
here in japan you must have a parking space in order to register, lose your parking space, and soon thereafter you will lose you car.
You want something that I am offering, then move quickly, don't bullshit me, and don't offer excuses.
And yes, I posted this to rub salt in the a couple of the idiots that wasted my time.

Hey Kenn -
I've always enjoyed reading your posts and really respect your opinion. But why would you use the main forum to bitch about a couple of people when you didn't use the main forum to try to get rid of your stuff?
That being said, I understand your frustration. When I post a question about something I might get 2 or 3 suggestions. But when I post pictures of something I did, I get a whole bunch of "you should have done this" or "you shouldn't have done that" posts. Very frustrating...but that's the way it is.
Anyway, sorry you had to just dump it...I'll echo what many others have said...I'd have at least given it serious thought if I had known about it, considering it was coming from you, someone I've grown to trust.
Rich

I find it real hard to believe this. I see people here buying engines all the time.. why wouldn't they buy it? maybe they thought you were going to take their money and run.. don't make sense to me.....

Yeah this is bullshit.
I'm guessing you offered it to a bunch of one post drift **** who inquired about a turbo swap.
As you see, if you had PM'd any reputable member you would have gotten rid of it.
You are either full of ****, or you did something really stupid

I think this is getting a little out of hand. From what I gather, the guy had a running engine and offered it to members for a fantastic price. From what it sounds like, they jerked him around. The kind of I'll pay on thursday. Friday comes and he changed his mind. Thats 2 days extra he had to keep the motor when someone could have bought it or he could have given it away.
Perhaps he didnt advertise in the fashion most of us recognize, but he made an effort.
I say this because I have had very similar, negative experiences with buyers jerking me around, or lowballing me, hoping to get an item worth a fourtune for a song.
Just what I see anyways.
I just find it funny that he posts this and everyone wants it after its gone.
*shrug*

I am working on a getting a replacement 12a for my 81 gs. I missed the one at pull a part (they are dirt cheap) in Lynnwood last weekend out of a wrecked (so you know it was running) 83 LE. If anyone has one taking up space I will pay shipping or come get it.
In my opinion, if Kenn is serious he would call out the posers who said they wanted a 12at or he would have listed in the for sale section. If they are such flakes they deserve to be called out and everyone deserves to know who they are.
