I love the old workhorse 12A but carbs are pain in the *** when they are 30 years old. I can't wait to smoke the tires off it! Opps but got to get tires first and a few more things done..

I'd done a turbo if I could have gotten all the guts of a wrecked FC t2 for $300. Lol
I tried omitting a few of the connections from the ECU but actually all the wires got a purpose. It's emissions complete so it need almost all them. I thought what the hell do I got to tell it that's it's in neutral and the clutch switch? Ummm it won't do the start up and rev if it done see it. Ummm radiator thermo switch (bottom drivers side corner of radiator)? Umm relief valve won't work. 20,000 mile switch? Ummm port air solenoid wont work. Crap like that took me a while to figure out. I even had to hook up negative trigger from the AC switch to it. (Bumps the idle up for AC).
One still trying to figure out. Wonder how I'm going to tell it that the wheels is turned or turning for the power steering? FB got no clock spring or am I reading the S5 diagram? I thought that input came from the power steering pump? Anyway that's where I am.
By the way easiest place to do all your wire shopping is the cruise ecu (you get neutral, clutch, brake switch and speed sense all in one place there)
Anybody notice its got a cat on it? Lol I got PAID back big time for all the years I yanked and scraped them. I was under the car measuring the exhaust and it felt and clocked me on the head. I got a little red 'grease' on it. Lol
Thanks Stevan.

Thanks for the description. I'm doing a similar swap into an older rotary and I didn't need any of the extra wires. For your power steering, just leave them all unconnected. The ECU doesn't care. As for the radiator switch, I'm going to ground mine. The 20k mile switch, leave it alone.
