I noticed that Harbor Freight has a powdercoating kit - wonder if it's any good.
I hate to pry off those bits and pieces around the glass - I'm afraid of wrinkling something. I was just going to mask and shoot with a black semigloss from Home Depot. The rubbery sidepieces are OK, no refinish required. Some of the interior burgundy plastic pieces are faded and foggy, but Victoria British has a spray they brag is good.

I got it from a private owner who was going to junk it, not a yard. Same as the 91 Alfa 164L I picked up. I don't recommend this as a good $$$ deal, incidentally, but I can't stand to see a decent car disappear into crusher when so little is required to keep it on the road. It costs more to fixup a car than to buy a good one.
The door-wreckers are at work already. My sightlines were damn clean a month ago, but already some dunce managed to follow me out to the remote reaches of the parking lot and bump the drivers-side door. %#%^$&^^. But it's just a shallow oilcan dent so I can probably work it out with a suction cup or careful pressing with the inside panel off (which I'll be doing when I install doorlock solenoids to compensate for the key mismatches).
One time I drove out to the end of a parking lot and a guy followed me there just so he could park right next to me, so I drove away to another remote place. Most people are like sheep: follow somebody, anybody, else.
