while it was out of the car, I would sell the twins, buy a single, and then drop it in with a haltech .. then your problems will be minimal. oh, and streetport it too!

you guys are forgetting that the turbo will NOT clear the steering rack. You will have to make your own turbo manifold.

I seem to remember sumone who was doing a swap ages ago they got a twin turbo engine and were converting it to a single turbo then plunk it in a FB. There was peopel at the time saying it wouldnt fit with the twinxcs and others saying it would then i think whoever it was took a pic of it lowered into the engine bay wiht the twins and it seemed to clear everything.. I thoguh it was sumone like setzup or mike p28 or one of those guys might remember it.

"Autotech Motorsports LLC has completed this project. This is one fast first generation RX-7 (even if the 13BREW engine is just running on stock boost of 10 pounds). The extent of this conversion is as follows:

13BREW Engine.
FD Transmission.
Custom subframe and transmission mounts.
Stock FD computer (All relevant wirings has been meticulously spliced from the FD harness).
FD fuel pump and gas tank.
Custom drive shaft and exhaust works.
Non-Sequential Turbo Conversion "

good god thats a lot of work.

The REW will handle more "max" power then S4 and S5 TII engines. The manifold is a better design, as well as a better flowing throttle body. I wouldn't use the stock twins or the stock computer.....both are crap!! If ya don't have the cash then wait......ponder.....and plan

Patience is a virtue.
Turbo FB is a art.

Good luck

yeah it fits fine, you will have to convert it to non sequential tho, since you dont want all the emissions bullshit on there, but it will work just fine

There is nothing "wrong" with the cosmo waterpump except you can ditch it and run a standard pump/housing to allow your stock hoses to fit right on. The cosmo water neck points at the wrong angle.

ok.. so basicly every thing will work you just need to convert it to a non sequential and run a stand alone.

how much do good twins go for.

you might be able to do a single for pretty cheap.

single runs cooler, makes more power, and is more reliable.

and it looks coooooool.

my turbo and manifold cost $575 but Im upgrading the compressor side and I need to get the manifold modified.
