Turbo Kit pics/and possible setup anyone know about the kkk k26 turbo?
OK, I have already posted that I got this kit for $130.00 off yahoo auctions in Japan. Im looking at the pics and I know how big the intake is so I look at it and see what looks like this HUGE turbo sitting next to it in comparison. Does anyone know anything about this turbo's specs or seen it used on a 1st gen?
pics
This is my car as it sits now
1. 1985 GSL with really bad paint job
2. 1980 engine in the car
3. Racing Beat oil block with the stock pressure sensor in it and temp guage sender
4. Steel Braided hose line to the Front mount oil cooler hanging in the spot for it on the GSL (PITA to put there)
5. It has the cheap monza headers (were on it when i bought it.) have a rb header & presilencer sitting in the closet was going to swap but since going turbo dont need. Will have to sell both to pay for new exhaust
6. Emmisions removed
This is what my set up is probably going to look like:
1. The turbo and stuff in the pics
2. A 40 IDF weber carb that I just got on ebay for 75.00 shipped
3. Holley blue pump i know only 14 psi tops
4. Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator AEI-13301 3-20 psi rrfpr
5. Going 2.5 inch exhaust
6. the 1985 original engine is in the closet waiting for a rebuild and a streetport.
Anybody think of anything else I might need?
I just got off the phone with my friend in Japan. the kit is at his garage now. He hasn't had a chance to look at it yet but he will email me with the heads up. I will be leaving on the 13th to go get it. Ohhhh cant wait...

your end setup sounds good. it's basically what i'll have. the only two things i would change / worry about is only having 2.5" exhaust and the holley pump. i'm going to be using a fuel injection pump from a second gen. this will insure you have enough fuel always plus i've read that the holley pumps aren't that reliable. :/ i dunno if this is true. i would probably run 3" exhaust. i'm sure alot of the turbo guys on here would agree. other than that, your almost there! WOO WOOOOO!

How do you run the efi pump with the carb? I have only seen regulators running in the 3-20 psi and 20 range and above. Im going 2.5 cause i already have the muffler that size. BTW im tring to keep this project under 1200.00 including the price of the car. which with what I have done so far, im at 570.00. ebay is my friend
