well...I am a student that pays for all of his classes MY CHOICE OF COURSE!
But thats cool, there really arent too many parts to worry about...its funny, at first I started to shy away from the turbo project until reading about the swap..the more and more I read, I was dumbfounded by how easy it was(relatively speeking). I was just thinking that so much more was going to need to be purchased.

I was of the same mind Raza. As a matter of fact in responce to the suggestion for the searching everything that I have searched so far has all shown up for 12A cars looking to go 13BT or Cosmo TT. Those wright ups are leaving me with the missinformed opinion that there is alot more required to do the swap than Just one post in this thread by steve84GS TII. I think im getting alot of information I dont need and dont quite understand how to sift thru it all.

If your doing this and school my hats off to you. Cars are my ****, I could never ballance the two.

Im going to start stripping the TII car this weekend if not mid next week. We finally got the siezed 13B out of my SE tonight. We actually jacked the car up, supported the motor by cord/cable and lowered the car. Then took my pry bar and twisted the cable till the engine was high enough to pull to the side and untwist till it was low enough to hold and then put down. Every factory piece that is attatched to the engine bay itself is still in place. All accessories that were attatched to the motor itself has been removed save a few things like the OMP, sender unit. Nothing has been cut or damaged in removal.

I will ****** everything ive seen typed up here in this thread and see where were at and hope to get a dialogue going on to help finnish up the swap.

Cant wait to read about your swap Raza.

There is a lot more, but usually the most complex part that confuses everyone is the wiring. What I described,is really all there is for the wiring up a TII.I did S4 and later S5 on my 84,its not hard.
Mounting, fuel delivery, exhaust, cooling, clutch, trans, and driveline are another story, but thats just nuts and bolts. The wiring is where most people choke.

BTW,I spank my boss's 400hp CTS-V Caddy.

Thanks alot DaGoat, your words of incouragement make me want the car to be finished even quicker. But I do not mind the wait and anticipation, I think seeing it all put together piece by piece will probably be one of the funnest parts. I am going to do a bit of custom fab work but keep the same feel of the hatch. I am excited!

But you are alot farther along Goat, so I must say, I can not wait to read about your swap! Make sure to take MANY MANY pictures.

On the wiring side of things, I am going to go with MS, does that make the wiring any easier or harder? Either way, I do not see it as a big problem for me. I think the main thing will be tunning, but there are tons of pro's about that stuff on these boards...god I love this community. This and rx8club have to be two of the best car forums around. Actually, they are the best! *srry for getting off topic*

I just want to add, I am in the process of acquiring a JDM 13BT...oh yea, it's an S5 motor too. Picking it up for 900....engine, trans, harness, ecu.

A few things puzzle me though, like the mod to fit an aftermarket BOV with a retainer ring? Also, it has an aftermarket ECU. And some sort of boost thingie...or something.

Another thing was the tranny....As in can i use stock driveshaft, or do I have to swap the tailshaft. I've searched, and heard of cutting and drilling, but no pics that weren't dead links.

For the S5 I have heard that you need to adjust the size of the drive shaft. On the tailshaft you will need to bore out the holes a little so that they will match up. Not for sure exactly though...I have never personally done it. Just talked to others that have!

lovin: Man 900 is a pretty good price with all that stuff...good catch! What ECU does it have?

I forgot the name of it, but I will post pics when I get the motor in my posession.

Also, does anyone know what BOV fits the stock motor, with mods that is held in by a retainer ring, and sealed by an o-ring? It's mounted just above the turbo, and few inches forward.
