Turbo Corvair for Rotary?

Turbo Corvair for Rotary?
I use to own a 1966 turbo 180hp corvair. The engine in that year came with 110hp, then the optional 140 horse (4 carb setup), and then the turbo 180hp version. I was doing a little thinking about my 12a and thought.....why couldnt you custom fab the corvair turbo/carb setup to a rotary. Both base engines, the 110hp and the 12a are close in comparison when it comes to horsepower output. The 12a might have 20 more horses tho if it were built in 66 because of no cats. Does anyone see a problem with fabbing this up, or carburator problems? The carb is already setup to withstand 180hp, so minor tinkering may be neated in final setup but the same goes for when you install an aftermarket holley on a 12a.
Ok heres the picture http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...87_23_full.jpg
As you can see, the exhaust is on opposite sides of one another. I say turn the system around, and run a custom pipe to the intake side of the rotary (it will sligtly have to wrap around, but thats not a problem) then run an aftermarket air cleaner setup similar to newer cars(cone K&N). Am I in over my head when brainstorming. Most of the work would be fabing/adapting rotary exh. flange/pipe/to the turbo charger, from that point, hooking up a air fuel meter, and then digging in side the carb if you need to make adjustments Let me stop here and take the THUMBS UP or take the CRITICS!!!!!!!!
Reason for this setup is that it looks to be straight forward after the adapting and its increasing 50-70hp on old school tech.

I know of one problem that may put you off of this project. The rotary spins the same direction as most other engines while the Corvair engines spin like Hondas (*** backwards).

I got that solved, I think. Wouldn't air going in and out be the same rush of air. Also, they sell camshalfs to make the corvair spin like 99% of all the other engines out there. So if you can change a corvair to run like our engines, and it still runs the same, the turbo part of this shouldn't be affected, correct?

Ok
Can anyone find out how many rpms a stock 180 hp corvair engine spins.
Im assuming a typical 12a should spend 6500-7000.
This is the only hang up I see in the setup due to more carb troubles.
At this point, all the fabrications to be done, cant you just turbo your 12a with aftermarket goodies and have newer technology.
Can someone post a list of everything needed to put a turbo on your 12a(everything down to oil return lines to brackets)to see what the parts would cost. I know we can get ebay deals, but lets get a list for a 12a. Im sure there are lists out there, but I cant search in the middle of writing!!!I do have a question for myself.....how do you control how much boost you get when you install a aftermarket turbo on your engine,is there a way to control boost on a carb setup.
