Still thinking about that automatic 82 RX7

Even though the car is an automatic it is hard to walk away from it.

Is it difficult and/or expensive to swap the automatic transmission for a 5 speed?

Are used 5 speed transmissions readily available?

Anyone know of a good shop to work on the car in the Green Bay area?

Am I asking for trouble swapping transmissions?

In my personnel experience with shops and the RX-7...figure out how to do you it yourself. Most garages in the midwest seem to understand the rotary.

I am finishing up my swap. I used a 2nd gen transmission and a lightweight flywheel. Seems to work great so far. Ton of threads on it, just search.
