transmision leakage
i have a 1gen 1985 12a, my tranny is leaking out only under load.if i have car in park and idle it can idle for hours without any leaks.but when i drive it and tranny builds up pressure tranny fluid is shooting out and getting all over exhaust instant bonfire smoke "terrible".the weird thing is once it starts smoking, burning tranny fluid it some how gets into my exhaust and comes out of muffler, could that be that my exhaust has a leak near the tranny leak causing exhaust to suck in smoke? and why would it be leaking so bad,put it this way i gallon of tranny fluid got me around the block like 5 or 6 times then it was empty it lost all the tranny fluid, could it be tranny main shaft seal?

you need to clean the trans and take the car for a quick drive, long enough to reproduce the leak. find out where the leak is coming from. it may be an outputshaft seal, which would be my guess, but it may be a cracked case or case gasket. pics would be helpful if you can post them.
