Tranny/Drive questions

Okay! So I got ahold of a bridgeported 12A engine for my FB which I'm hoping to run about.. 10 pounds of boost on.

Few questions for the experienced ones out there:

First: How easy is it to use the Turbo II tranny?
I heard the 12A tranny won't hold up to a whole lot of power.
I also hear that a TII tranny will bolt right up to a 12A?

Second: What sort of rear end would be good?
I'd like either posi or lsd..
I've read about the Miata lsd swap, But, is it a strong diff? Will it hold up to 300+ hp?
And how about a Ford 9" rear end? Anyone ever done a 9" in a first gen?

Any info would be VERY helpful!
I'm looking to start on this thing in the spring.

9" is overkill by a mile. The stock rearend will take quite a bit of power, you just cant beat the **** out of it.Mine has held up to 300HP for years with no failure after 30K miles.
8.8" Ford rearend is a good swap as its lighter, smaller and readily availible(Mustang)
TII trans is also a pretty easy swap,do a search because in the last 2 weeks your the 100th person to ask about it,theres plenty of info here to answer all you questions about 12A vs TII transmissions.......

Fwiw, posi and lsd are the same thing. Posi is the GM trade name for limited slip.
