trailing hole plug in a rotary
:p it is absolutly normal. The trailing plug has a much smaller hole because of the difference of pressure in the chamber. You can find in depth information in a book written by Mazda ("rotary engine"). Do not try to drill it larger :-((

I've seen a Hayes aviation engine that had a large trailing hole drilled in the rotor housing. What's up with them? I don't think Atkins does that (and he's been flying his rotary for years).
