Touch-up paint for K3

On the new Rx-8's Mazda uses a colour called 22V, Sunlight Silver Metallic. I figured I would pick up a tube and see how close it matched my K3 Sunbeam Silver Metallic. Turns out they are very very close. Close enough you wouldn't notice. I touched up some spots on the edges of my doors and I'm quite happy with the results.

I'll take a picture of my door edge tomorrow in the light. Its a close enough match for the edges of your doors and whatnot. Better than nothing.

They don't ship to Canada. Nice site though. Looks like they sell pens and bottles too.

As for spray paint, I have some auto enamel mixed up that I can use with my spraygun.

Pics or didn't happen

Its funny how us first gen guys tend to think of these things almost at the
same time. I was just eyeing up the paint section in O'Reillys to see what
metallic silver would work out with my sunbeam silver SA. Thanks posting
this up.

Edge on left side is painted. Darkness is due to bevel, not the paint.

This shows the difference between the two. Transition zone is the black line, with the dotted section to see the difference:

sunbeam silver (0000-88-0154-92) was introduced on the miata in 91, and gets updated to the 22v for the 99 FD/miata

if you put those two together, the 22v has larger metal flakes.

but hey that's a great match!
