Tokico Illumina Question

I'm replacing my 84 GSL-SE front shocks with Tokico Illuminas/Racing Beat springs. It seems like the Tokicos don't use the oil o ring that the original shocks used (no reference in the Tokico instructions) and also have 2 large brass rings (about the size and shape of the old oil o ring) that are not referred to in the instructions supplied with the shocks. Any clues anyone?

Those washers you have are spacers if I remember right. I think I used one of the two that they gave me to allow the retainer nut to thread down the right amount.

You need the spacer, or it will make noise.
