Tockico HTS in a 1st gen?!

From the looks of it the suspension on ae86 and a sa22c kinda look similar? are they? ive looked around and found no info. . . what are the stock specs on the front and rear shock sizes on the gslse?

any info helps!

Thanks,
Ryan

i looked into doing AGX's, um compared to the AE86, the FB is way shorter, but the same diameter.

or we use REAR MR2 shocks as an upgrade

i did post all the infoz i found

i think they use this shock combo in japan, but its hard to tell

the rear is simpler, so all my research is for the front

the AE86 people love to cut down the strut tube to make it a shorter strut, right? well the FB strut tube is already a bunch shorter than the AE86 tubes, even after you cut em

but the FB struts are the same length (or close enough) to the 84-88-89 mr2, the early one.

so if they have HTS's for the REAR of the early mr2, then you're good.

and the Rx7 uses the same length tube from 81-85. the 79-80's are longer by an inch or two

No, you use the Mr2 rear struts for the Rx7's front struts. The Rx7's rear shocks are a whole different animal. The rear Rx7 shocks are nothing like ones on the Mr2, they are similar to what is on the AE86. I have heard of Hachi Roku guys running a competition Camero rear shock as it's designed for a heavy car with high spring rates. I'm not sure what year but i'm guessing the Mk2 or Mk3 Camero.

and besides I've heard the HTS is actually softer than the illumina, so wouldn't we be working backwards here?

just to be clear the REAR aw11 mr2 strut insert fits the FRONT of the 81-85 rx7

yeah i dunno much about the HTS's but why when we actually have a couple good options that are made for our cars, like the illumina.

Illuminas are awesome. I run the Mr2 rear ones in the front of my FB on 5 and in the rear I have KYB gas-a-justs(NLA) 300/200 on springs and my car handles amazing. it does well enough to finish 2009 2nd in points in Street Prepared in BSCC...

I run the MR2 Illuminas on the front, with Bilsteins on the rear. Very happy with the Illuminas.
