tire siping works!

Let's face it, 1st gen 7's are tail happy, but if you haven't broken your rear wheels loose on wet pavement while accelerating thru a corner, then don't bother reading this.

After having my 205 60R 14 BFG tires siped it made a big difference my car's handling in the rain. I would highly recommend it, but I live were it rains, alot. Plus the guy at discount tire said it actually extends tire life, check it out.........

Very interesting. I'm not sure I believe that it will increase tire life, but it shouldn't hurt it much. Did they also true the tires? How much did it cost?

My friend's baja has siped tires and they do seem to grip better. However, little pieces of sand can get in there and wear the tire more quickly-from the inside out! Well, inside each tread anyway.

You can do it yourself with a razorblade, but it would take forever. We'll see how good tire life is on a street driven tire.
