The transmission will physically bolt up to the engine. They make a clutch disk that adapts an N/A sized clutch to the T2 input splines, but I do not know/believe that the T2 starter would mate with the N/A flywheel.
This leaves a few options... either hunt down a '74-78 bellhousing and starter and bolt the T2 transmission to that, using the N/A flywheel and adapter clutch disk, or
get a counterweight for a '79-82 automatic 12A, a T2 lightweight flywheel, and a T2 clutch.
