TII swap into 1984 GS. What do I need? (search failed)
Like the title says. I have searched the archives for this info but come across alot of pages and OLD threads with dead links and/or no pictures. I have an idea of what I need but I obviously need your help.
I could take it to a shop here in Miami that works on Rotaries, they could do the whole thing for about $4500, this includes parts and labor, a Haltech ECU and all necessary tuning. I dont necessarily need a beast (yet) but I do want the option to upgrade if I feel the need.
Now, at a bare minimum I know that I need the following:
A TurboII complete engine with all the wiring harnesses and intake parts.
Factory ECU
Exhaust manifold
Blow off valve
Factory turbo
Intercooler and plumbing
High pressure fuel pump
GSL-SE engine mount(s)
GSL-SE pan
Now Do I really need:
TurboII transmission
Driveshaft
Standalone ECU
Turbo timer
Is there anything here that I need?
This is what is DEFINATELY going to happen in the process:
Engine porting
Upgraded exhaust system
Upgraded turbo manifold
Any useful help in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

DF, I see that your in the 305 as am I. This car is going to be a daily driver (for now). I plan on buying an FD next year to assume DD duty and then possibly using the FB for some kind of racing (anything but drag racing, cuz drag is all about going in a straight line as fast as possible and that to me is so boring). What I need to know is just what I need to get things up and running.
P.S. Thanks for the reply
