Thought I would all show you my newest ride...

As some of you might know, I lost my beloved RX-7 to hydroplaning and ultimatly a tree... I looked for awhile to find a replacement, either another GSL in decent shape or a Turbo II... With no avail. Seeing as I could not live without a ride for too long I went to the dark side. I bought a Mustang. I love the car, miss cutting up the back roads, but have tried to fill that void with raw american straight line power.
I just got a digi cam the other day with my new computer and thought that I would share what my new baby looks like. The picture isnt that great but hey, the camera was free and it holds 175 High Quality pics (this picture is high quality, so its not all that great)

So far I have to the car

Twisted Wedge Upper and Lower Intake
Dynomax exaust (two chamber, cant beat the growl of a 302)
Off road H-Pipe
Unequal Length Headers
K&N stock replacement Air filter

Soon:
SSM Lift Bars
Eibach Drag Launch Springs
And new shocks, havent decided on what yet...

I know many of you are biased against mustangs. I know that they are extremely common. But with the paint job, it turns a few heads. Its a nice mustang, don't flame me... I think that if the oppurtunity for funds presents itself I will start another RX-7 project, because I really miss the handling and comfortable feel of the car...

'Stangs are okay. I wouldn't buy one myself as I'm a sports car man, but they are great muscle cars.

Looks good! A Saleen wing on the back wouldn't be a bad touch...

I dont really like the saleen wing all that much. What I am thinking of doing is getting the sport suspension over the drag one. They both have similar spring rates but I lose the air bag. The sport lowers it 1.5" while the drag is only .5".
That and i am keeping my eyes open for a set of Cobra R rims or a good looking set of 16in. wide rims.
I also have blackouts for the front which blend in with the paint really well, but the headlight assemblys are fogged over. I cant see at night with them on, so i'm gonna go out and get some new assemblys.

I suggest the silver finish 91 style rims, called the pony rims i believe. My brother lowered his GT looks pretty sweet.

cobra r's are pretty sweet man, but i hate seing them on 4 lug stangs. cobra r's were meant for 5 lug, and i hate seein the imitation r's everywhere. i know a guy who converted to full out sn-95 brakes so hes got 5 lug now and awesome brakes, but he went with the sweet looking 99 cobra rims. if you are looking for cheap rims, go to the junk yard. my bro picked up a set of turo coupe rims in perfect shape, just a little dirty with all 4 matching tires and 60% tread left for 130. you cant beat deals like that if you just want some rims for the strip.
i'm still wondering what cam you are running though

Right now I'm running the stocker cam... While she sits in tha garage over the winter I am going to buy a replacement block. Now is the time to do it because soon enough it will be difficult to come by a new block, as the 302 is no longer in production by Ford. When I get that, thats when the internal engine work will be done.
Hey, if I had trouble finding another RX-7 how in the heck am i going to find a Saleen or Roush Stang. And secondly, How the hell am I going to afford that? Finding one thats not even driveable is expensive....

Hey how much does you're brother want for the ponies? I'm going up to the swap meets in a few weeks to look for some rims, and dont think I am going to want to pay the price for 4-lug Cobra R rims, they are much more expensive than 5 lug, and I'm not up for the conversion at this point... I want to have the HP to justify the 5 lug. I'm living just fine with the drums in back so... The only snag is I have to find a transmission... I'm going to look into a beefed up T5 for the car. Tremmic is just too expensive, almost as much as the engine.

Oh speaking of which, I also forgot to add that I have the Hurst Short Throw, probably the best feeling modification I made to the car yet...

Where's Third?

my bro has the pro 5.0 shifter, its great. his t5 is goin out but thats what happens to em. yeah tremmics are pricey, but you could get a used one for like a grand and they are almost unbreakable.
he wants 350 plus shipping, email him at cobracloud@hotmail.com for pics if you want.

Sorry about the car. Ill try to stay away from hydroplaning with my seven. I used to like to hydroplane when I had my celica.

My friend has a mustang it sounds nice. I wouldnt mind one, and thats definately the last good looking body ford made.
