Tach and cold weather.
My tach doesn't seem to work at all until the engine warms up a bit, is this normal? (It's presently 20 degrees outside, and the tach works fine when it's warmer.)

Mine did the same thing on the few cold morning i drove it to work in november. As the car got warmer inside and under the hood it would come back to life. Not really sure what causes it but I didnt really mind. I drive by sound anyway. Just shift when the buzzer goes off, youll be fine lol

I have noticed this as well when the temperature drops blow 20*to 30*c, mine doesn't move till it warms up IE motor or interior temperature. I have also wondered if there is a remedy for this. just gives me a reason not to drive till the thermostat opens or choke drops

not only does my tach not want to work when it's really cold, but the buzzer sounds at the same time like it's stuck at red line, then stops once the tach starts working again. soooo aggravating.
