non turbo diffs into an FB are. in fact, you can put a kaaz into your car this way. the NA diffs are the same axle size and everything as a 84-85 diff... with big axles.

Only the gear sets interchange. NA=7"ring gear TII=8" ring gear.

Putting the IRS on a 1 st gen requires major modification.

HP doesnt smash drivetrain parts, Torque does.

Anyway, theres a lot of people driving around with TII engines and N/A rear ends. However I've seen some pics of N/A rear ends that SHATTERED on the track from high output engines.

I think it takes quite a bit of torque to shatter a 7" gear. I have see a 400 hp t04s 13b FB with GSL-SE rear axle running 11.8 that never shattered gears/axles (he had 15x10 nitto 555r). i also heard of 400hp v8 converted rx7's with stock rear axles and not shattering them.

IT DOESN"T SWAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your stock rear end is 7" just like the NA 2nd gens. There is NO WAY to fit the TII diff in. If you want to fit a LSD unit then you can either fit and entire axle from a GSL which bolts in, or you could fit the pumpkin from one as an alternative.
