It'd be easier to take it all the way off - and you wouldn't need to worry about it coming off and causing an accident. That's beaucoup liability if and when it occurs.

Heh, that's a good idea, i rarely had hatch space and usually left my sunroof in my garage, got caught a few times in unexpected rain.
I should've thought of that, i'm sure it's very secure in place, the latches are powerful, you won't have to worry about that going anywhere.

That sucker comes off after hitting a hard bump at speed, or whipped off by wind resistance, and strikes the windshield of the car behind you and you're criminally negligent. We're talking jail time AND fines.
Is it worth it?

PLASTIC, maybe, mmmaaayyybeee casual cruise through the city....less that 35mph...even then with it rattling or moving or adding stress to those plastic latches it will eventually wear and no longer "LATCH TIGHTLY"...
try it and then push up and down on the "rear end" side for the sunroof...

I just had to try it today too.

NO ******* WAY!!!
I would never attempt to drive even casually around town like that.
Like 1984se said. It's being held only by those two red plastic clips. Even once you crank the anchor back down, there is still WAY too much play in that thing.
Not a chance in hell that would be safe at 80.
I call complete

And seriously hiboost7,

![wtf](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wtf.gif)
Come on man, use your head.
I realize that this could have just been a joke. But you need to clarify that eventually. And prefferably before someone goes out and doesn't really check it out, but rather just trusts you and hurts someone.
