suggestions please...

hey guys need some help or suggestions for my car... i've had my car for a while now and just started getting it together... it's an 83 rx7 that used to be automatic and converted it to manual... has a stock 6 port motor, rb header to a 2 1/4 magnaflow... just this past weekend i installed a 8 psi carter fuel pump, holley fpr and a 48 weber ida, i set the idle at 2500 rpm i was told that i need to change my idle jets so i can lower the idle... anyway,i took the car for a test run and it was running fine but wen i come to a stop my idle jumps to 4k rpm then jumpn down to 3k rpm then back up to 5k rpm... anybody know why this happens? any suggestions on my engine bay? and did i put my throttle cable bracket in a good area? and info on what i need to change on my car to make it run better, safer, and cleaner? here's some pics of my car....thank you in advance...
40mm venturis
F-ll Emulsion Tubes
220 fuel jets
195 air jets
65 F-9 idle jets
300 Needle valve

Why do you have your idle at 2500? That is very high.

The only suggestion I have for you is to put on an air filter before you blow up your motor.
