That 84 13b I just recently got a hold of needs work. I tried this search thing but am not too good with it. Looking for information on an aftermarket intake manifold and carb kit. So I can get rid of all the emissions junk. Is there such an animal, can it be done by a backyard mechanic?

Yeah thanks Doc, I was trying to utilise the wealth of knowledge of this forum to get recommendations as to what does fit a 13B.

Then check to see if you can find it on ebay cheeper. I know there are two intakes listed as of now but I forget what they bolt up to.

^ Good point! Once you know what will fit, you may be able to find it cheaper on eBay. Also, check the For Sale / Wanted section under Classifieds on the RX7 Club main page.

I was going ot continue with my hazing welcome but I was having trouble posting and it took away all of my fun.

Anyways, welcome to the forum.

As far as our other newbies with the ebay tip. Alittle tip for you. Rx7's are all by themselves when it comes to engine parts. There is no interchangeabiltiy from other makers. If you have a 12a, you need a 12a rotary manifold, a 13b then the same.

When you stated that it needs work, do you know what's wrong with it?
Before you start replacing anything give us some symptons if there is a running issue and maybe we can "Enlighten" you with our "Wealth of knowledge".

If you decide to run an aftermarket intake carb setup. You will need to modify the exhaust also. The #1 N/A HP gainer on our cars is the Header system,
