My 73 RX3 came from Fairbanks Al . the owner told me that at 60 below ,it is the only way you will start the car. Must be like useing cattle prod on a dog team, had not thought about mmo in it though.thanks,I think.

And just when you think the thread has died JokkVahl ressurects it lol... Anyways I still have myn in the car but I might yank it, although the mmo mod does sound tempting....

I still have mine on the '79 and I'm glad I do...it stinks like hell when it starts, but it starts!

im pretty sure its just a jerry rigged setup with a switch hooked up to the subzero pump, and the subzero container is filled with MMO or ATF, then when you flick the switch it pumps the fluid through the carb...

MMO would be alot better than ATF. Though, it would smoke more either way on atrtup it would add some compression to the engine right off the bat to help it get going. Mine was ripped off of the car before I even knew what it was for. The lines were broken and it started fine without it so it was removed.
