Subaru-style door mod?

I wanted to see if anyone had ever seen/ done a Subaru-style (no top window rail) door mod on a FB. I understand that it would take quite a bit of fabrication, but I think it would look so cool. Just a thought.

i think that if u look closer into those that don't have window frames u'll find there's more to the window lift mechanism to keep the window in line without the use of a frame. think bout how the door seals that big hole in the body. without the window frame how will u get the actual window to seal to the body at the top. i say it's more trouble than it's worth.

You'd have to open the window to open or close the door ... or have to rework the door inards and have custom windows made ...

+1 on way more work and/or $ then worth
