Stuck thermostat? Pics inside

Just last night my car started reaching temps l'Ve never Seen in the whole year of owning the car.
I drew Some picS of what I AM experiencing.

Pic 1 Shows Current temp

pic 2 Shows coolant level , Usually sits @ full

pic 3 Shows normal temp before issue

That looks pretty normal. If it gets up to halfway I'd be a little concerned. Thermostat stuck closed will cause your car to overheat, so I doubt it's that. Stuck open and it will take longer to warm up. You should be able to feel when the thermostat opens by placing your hand on the upper radiator hose. It should stay cool until the needle starts to climb, and then you'll feel the hose warm up and get hot.

So far both hose get hot. Temp doesnt go above half. The coolant in the reservoir is over.

Maybe I am overreacting

if the resevoir was at a normal level, but seems to be continually getting more and more full on its own, I would suspect bad radiator cap. Otherwise, your recent temp guage readings actually seems more "normal" than your prior guage readings

Sgt saves the day again. I removed the Cap and put it back on and the temp went back to how its always been.
Maybe the Cap has been faulty the whole time
