Street port GSL-SE?
I have an SE 13B and I was researching on porting the engine. I was at the Racing Beat web site and they have Intake and Exhaust Port Templates but with a notice “Streetable Intake Port - All Except 13B 6-Port Engines”. Can a SE 13B FI engine be Intake street port?

I have an idea on engine but I’m new to rotary so I hope you guys excuse me with some of the vocabulary or technicalities used in this site. What do you guys mean by “You should use 12-A plates with tall ports to make it a 4port engine.” by wackyracer and “do the 4 port” by broke7. Do I need to change the engine plates? Please accept my apologies. I hope to learn as much as I can from all of you guys.

There are 2 major differnt kind of engines the 12a and the 13b the 13b of the GSL-SE can have the end plates of the engine replaced with the 12a variations and then you have 4 ports instead of 6 ports. The good point to this is you can SP the 12a end plates and 13 center plate alot bigger and make more power then you can from porting the 6port end plates. Now im not sure if you will need custom FI intake or if you can just use the S4 (86-88) or S5 (89-92) intakes. I know the bottom section is a bit different but that might be easier to mod then cutting up the 6port FI intake. Im sure someone will chime in with the proper answer to the FI.
