Storing my Nikki

I swaped intake and carb a week ago and now I want to shelve my Nikki. It ran mint so I was thinking about just putting some stabil down the fuel intake line, spraying eveything down good with wd-40, capping everything off, and storing it in a sealed container in my a/c'd laundry room. I like the idea of having the spare but is there only so long that you can store a carb before a rebuild is required or can they be stored for long periods with the correct pre-storage care? Or are there any better suggestions?

It's best to remove and blow out all of the fuel, spray it down externally with WD is fine, then find a couple of desiccant packs and double bag it in large zip lock bags with as little air in the bags as possible. Even with all of these precautions, after a period of time it may still need new gaskets since the current ones have absorbed fuel. No way to get around that unless you go through it again with a fresh gasket kit prior to storage.
