Are the stock flywheels steel on an '84 w/ 12a?

Are the stock flywheels steel on an '84 w/ 12a?
I have a chance to pick up a good condition used aluminum flywheel. Anyone know the approx. weight difference?

if you can wait til tomorrow, im taking my my aluminum flywheel (check it out in the FS section) to the shop so I weigh it.

all the aluminum flywheels i have used have been 9# or 12#

the stock flywheel varies. for exmaple, the 81 are 21lbs, all others including old 13-B are between 27-31 lbs.

According to racing beat's web site and I quote...

"The weight of the stock flywheel is 30 lb (74-80) and 23 lbs (81-85)"

The racing beat aluminum flywheels are 12 lbs.
